Hello, I´m Salvador cortinas from Mexico, we had a very frustrating issue with FedEx in Mexico when a Company from Illinois sent us a package that got to Merida Yuc., coming from Miami Fla. We had a scheduled delivery by February 29th. which never happened, suddenly I tried to reach FEDEX and they told me many,many different stories regarding our package, first they said it was delaying cause a custom problem but they will reléase it and send it to us, then other day, the said package was in transit to Comalcalco tabasco that was final destination, then and finally I made my due dilligence in order to understand what happened and i got real and true informmation when somebody told me it was found in customs agency as an abbandoned package.
1.- nobody got in contact to us in order to clear customs.
2.- every day a different story
3.- finally I got in contact with somebody that had some sort of idea about our package and told us to use our own custom agent to clear customs and then package can continnue its way to Comalcalco, Tabasco. I used our custom agent same day that I received a mail from unknown people from a freight forwarding company asking us to send them confidential information so then they can clear customs for our package when we were using already our own custom agent. Finally our custom agent got the package released and send it to FedEx in order to continue trip to Comalcalco, tabasco and then they told us package cannot continue trip to Comalcalco as link was broken in Merida as we use our own custom agent and not FedEx one. We spent like 3000 USD more in order to bring package to Comalcalco, but cause of delay our client denied to continue making their service with us and we lost the job where we charged $5000 USD. Is not a couple of bucks, is a lot of money for us and the company and we are looking to solve this issue the best way posible with FEDEX Headquarters if we need to do it this way. I put a non-conformance letter but still have no response back from this guys in Mexico. I appreciate if you can help us out in order to have a response back from FEDEX.
