About Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park
Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park is a popular tourist attraction in Australia that was established in the year 1958. The landowners of the park are the aboriginal anangu people. Formerly known as Ayers Rock (named after Sir Henry Ayers), the park’s main attraction is the large red monolith that is about 3.6kms long and 1.9kms wide. The climb to the top is 1.6kms. In fact UNESCO has placed Uluru on its World Heritage sites list.

Located in Australia’s Northern Territory, the park has an Aboriginal settlement here. Tourists don’t have much options for accommodation. There are regular bus services from Alice Springs. Those who drive in their own automobile will have to pay a $25 entrance fee. The park is open from 8am to 5pm. Places to explore around Uluru include Kata Tjuta, The Olgas, Kings Canyon, Devils Marbles, Finke Gorge National Park and Macdonnell Ranges. For more information or queries on tickets, parking, transportation, or others, reach the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park customer service.
