About Tomb of Jahangir
The Tomb of Jahangir is a mausoleum located in Shahdara, Lahore. Constructed from 1627 to 1637 for Mughal emperor Jahangir, the tomb reveals a Mughal-era architecture with beautiful marbles and frescoes adorning the walls. There are two entrances – northern and southern wings. The central hall in the square-shaped building is called the Akbari Serai. It houses the white-marbled cenotaph. The mausoleum has 4 towers. Additionally it boasts a garden (Dilkusha Garden) in Chahar Bagh style. The Tomb of Jahangir features four ornamental minarets.
