About Shrine of Remembrance
The Shrine of Remembrance is a tourist landmark located in Melbourne, Australia. Opened in the year 1934, the Shrine is a war memorial built to commemorate those who served in World War I. One of the largest war memorials in the country, the Shrine of Remembrance was designed by war veterans and architects Philip Hudson and James Wardrop. The National War Memorial of Victoria is open from 10am to 5pm. Admission is free for all.

The Galleries of Remembrance is one of the important highlights here. It features more than 800 artworks, historical artefacts and personal effects.
