About Parc Asterix
Parc Asterix is one of the best holiday destinations in France, to visit with family for fun and entertainment, and is the second largest amusement park, after Disneyland near Paris. Operated by Compagnie des Alpes, the amusement park opened in 1989, and attracts nearly 10 million visitors every year. The concept of the theme park, revolves around the classic stories of the popular comic series “Asterix”, and incorporates these hilarious characters of Asterix and the gang, in their adventurous rides and attractions.
Located in the heart of a sprawling forest, 30 Kilometers from the North of Paris, the amusement park has six exciting water rides, and seven adventurous roller coaster rides, specifically designed for entertaining children and adults. The amusement park has interesting rides and shows, based on the various historical themes from the Gaul’s, the Egyptians, the Romans, and the Greeks to entertain the visitors.
Major attractions at Parc Asterix are the amazing variety of roller coaster rides, namely the “Tonnerre de Zeus” a wooden roller coaster ride, a multi-loop roller coaster, 900m bobsled roller coaster, and the “Oziris” an inverted roller coaster. Other attractions include 4D cinema shows, river rafting rides, and water slides. The amusement park is also home to one of the biggest dolphin enclosures in Europe, Le Delphinarium.
The amusement park also offers fabulous holiday packages, at their forest hotel for a 2days/2nights stay, inclusive of breakfast, and an admission ticket. Additional amenities at the amusement park include restaurants and 14 meeting rooms & banquets for corporate and private use.
Visitors can book online to avail exclusive season deals and offers, and the tickets are all-inclusive of access to the various fun-packed shows, and attractions of the day. The amusement park does not operate all year round, and are open to visitors only in the season of April-Nov.
A 30-minute ride from the North of Paris, visitors can get to Parc Asterix by car, metro, coach bus, and taxi. There are departure points for visitors, from the City to the amusement park and, good travel deals are available with all major modes of public transportation.
A typical day at the amusement park starts from 10am-6pm, and remains closed on Dec 24 and Dec 25. The entrance ticket costs €51 for adults aged 12 and above, and €43 for children aged 3-11. Senior citizens can avail tickets for €48 with valid ID proof, and tickets for a family of four costs from €38 – €47. Car Parking facilities are available, and costs €15 for a day.

Season Pass holders also enjoy discounts in shops, restaurants and hotels. Tickets can be purchased at entrance or online using major credit cards.
