About Kiev Metro
kiev-subwayKiev Metro is a rapid transit system that began in the year 1960. It serves the region of Kiev, Ukraine. The first in the country, Kiev Metro operates 3 lines connecting to 52 stations. More than 1.4 million commuters use the services each day. Lines consist of Line 1 (Sviatoshynsko-Brovarska), Line 2 (Kurenivsko-Chervonoarmiyska) and Line 3 (Syretsko-Pecherska). The new lines being planned are Line 4 (Podilsko-Vyhurivska) and Line 5 (Livoberezhna).

Tickets can be purchased at the counter or through vending machines. You will need to carry the tokens or contactless payment card to access the metro. You have single journey fares, 1 day fare and others that offer unlimited number of trips on tram, underground and bus.
