About Dubai Duty Free
Dubai Duty Free opened in the year 1983. It is one of world’s leading airport retailers, operating in some 32,000 square metres at the Dubai International Airport. Dubai Duty Free employs over 6,000 people. It has won more than 500 awards, including the coveted Airport Retailer of the Year in Single Location, Best Duty Free Shop, Best Airport For Duty Free Shopping in the Middle East, besides others. Dubai Duty Free celebrated its anniversary in 2015 with a 25% discount, bringing sales of US$48.5 million in three days. The year ended with turnover of US$1.933 billion. Perfume leads the highest selling categories, contributing 17% of total sales. Over 73,000 sales transactions are handled each day at Dubai International and Al Maktoum International. Asian travelers are reported to be the highest spenders.
The Irish Village, The Century Village and the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium are the subsidiary businesses owned and managed by Dubai Duty Free. It also recently opened the Jumeirah Creekside Hotel. It is a five star leisure property with 292 rooms and suites.
Dubai Duty Free has been a sponsor of golf events for many years. It still continues to host the annual Dubai Duty Free Golf World Cup, Dubai Duty Free UAE Nationals Cup, Dubai Duty Free Golf Cup and Dubai Irish Golf Society tournament.
You can now shop online on the Dubai Duty Free official webshop. Simply add products to your shopping cart, confirm your order and visit any of the DDF collection points in the airport where payment for the order can be made. Collection points at departure areas is found at Concourse A, Concourse B and Concourse C of Terminal 2. In the arrival areas, you can find it in Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. Visit the collection points at least 60 minutes before your departure time.
Products found include chocolates, bakery products, special foods, perfumes, skin care, apparel, travel essentials, pens, watches, souvenirs, mobile phones, cameras, computers, mp3 players, among others. Note that only limited amounts of liquids may be carried through the security control in hand luggage. Also be informed that exchange or return of product can be made within six months from the order date.
