About Dinosaur Valley State Park
Dinosaur Valley State Park is a scenic state park located at Somervell County, Texas. Established in the year 1972, the park is spread across 1,524 acres and is governed by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Located within a short distance from the Paluxy River, the park is a favourite among trekkers and vacationers. Visitors can explore dinosaur tracks, camp, organise a picnic, hike, mountain bike, swim or fish in the river. Dinosaur trails may be closed due to wet conditions or weather.
The park is open on most days from 7am to 10pm. Visitors will need tickets for entry. Tickets can be booked online for adults and children. There are also annual passes offering unlimited entry. Visitors can stay at one of the backpack campsites. You can book a campsite online using a Visa or MasterCard.
