About Capital Metro
Capital Metro is a public transportation provider in Austin, Texas. Officially operating as Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Capital Metro currently operates bus and commuter rail system across Austin, Travis and other counties. The network includes 49 metro routes, 8 express bus and one passenger rail connecting 9 stations. Overall it has a fleet of 417, serving more than 130,000 commuters each day. The services include MetroBus, MetroExpress, MetroRapid, MetroRail, Night Owl, E-Bus, MetroAccess, MetroRideShare and Freight Rail. Local tickets can be used on MetroBus, MetroFlyer, MetroRapid and UT Shuttle. The MetroBike Shelter Card gives access to Capital Metro Bike shelters.
