Unsatisfied with mahindra Bhuj dealer (B.mangatram & co.) warranty service.
I am the owner of the mahindra bolero slx. My vehicle no. is TN75B9036 and the chassis no. 92lx3900. Its just two years old vehicle. I am really proud to be a owner of mahindra product but unfortunately i am facing problem with your product. The vehicle body got rusted within these two years but i have another vehicle of maruthi alto which is 7 years old. I approached the service centers, but they are not able to resolve my concerns.
I got a brand new Scorpio from your dealer in Jammu namely LAHORI MOTORS JAMMU. After 6 months i noticed an electric fault in horn and went to the same dealer for repair. Instead of repair they damaged my several parts of the car, including the remote panel. They have now opened all electric lines of the car. I have now spent about Rs 30000 for taxi going up and down. Mahindra, please do not give dealership to such people. They offer very poor service, despite the car being under warranty.
I faced several problems with my Mahindra ranault logan 1.6 GLS. On 3-Oct-2012 I visited the Mahindra service center Silver jubilee motors ltd. at Pune Pimpri. After 2 days they told me that car’s timing belt needs to be changed. I give them green signal to go ahead and replace it. After 2 weeks they called me informing that car is ready. When i went there and started the engine there was a weird noise. They charged me 14000 Rs for timing belt replacement. Now engine issues. After 2 weeks of analysis they came to know that car’s engine head valve is bent and that was the reason for the sound. I asked about cost to fix it they gave me 25000 Rs Max estimate. I told them go ahead and fix it. They started work on 18-oct-2012 and on 7-Nov-2012 they called me and said car is ready i can collect it and bill amount was 36700 Rs. They did not inform in advance the amount would increase drastically. I asked them why are they charging me such big amount whereas they gave estimate of 25000 Rs Max. Anyways I agreed to pay next day and when I test drove the car, again the car wont start. I spent 50,000 Rs and still my car doesnt work.
Now after both the issues, a new issue they mentioned. They said the engine coil needs to replaced. They quoted 3900 Rs price. After another 2 weeks, they asked me to collect the car. The car meter showed it ran pretty much plus now the engine was not running smooth. Also car RPM dropped to 0. While driving home, the engine oil started to leak and new problems started to occur. Overall, very dissatisfied by the service. My car was there for 3 months. When I got my car back, there were several other damages such as my the mirror being broken, etc. This is very sad. Wished I never gave my car to this service center.
Dear Sir,
I planned to buy Maruti Suzuki Desire at the start of September. But one of my friend convinced me to get MAHINDRA VERITO since it has better mileage and low maintenance cost. So I contacted India Garage Chennai branch in Mount Road. While on the process I happened to meet a person who informed MPL Automobile Agency Pvt. Ltd. in Aminjikarai, Chennai, is better than India Garage. So from then I started enquiring the MPL.
I paid ADVANCE OF RS. 10,000/- while booking Mahindra Verito in the middle of October. I paid FULL AMOUNT of Rs. 7,44,000 (including tax and insurance) in the end of October . I finalized a model MAHINDRA VERITO D4 TWILIGHT BLUE COLOUR.
I planned to get my car on November 10th as this is my lucky date. This Twilight blue colour is my lucky colour and I ensured the officials to provide me this colour.
But the MPL officials made a mistake in providing the colour I requested and paid the Taxes to the government. While registering the car I saw the colour. It was Grey colour. But I had requested for Twilight Blue.
So I asked them the reason for colour change. They told it was their mistake and tried to convince me into this grey colour. I was not satisfied. So I talked with General Manager Mr. Bala (contact no. 9840983937) about this problem. He dint try to help me out but was trying to force me into using this Grey colour.
They have Twilight Blue colour but they are not providing me it on the date I requested. Tomorrow the Government offices are functioning. They can do all the processes like insurances, Government Tax, Registration. We have planned to go out to temple for diwali taking this car. If this problem is not solved please repay my full amount back. I also have a Second plan to get Maruti Suzuki Dezire. If u don’t take the required action by tomorrow we will be having holiday on 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th November for Diwali celebrations.
I also have the original copy of the Invoice. It is the evidence I can provide u were the colour I requested is printed. If required I will send u that too.
Please kindly do the needful.
My delightful experience at Customer Care of Mahindra & Mahindra dealer M/s. Bhasin Motors.
Before purchasing my Scorpio (of Mahindra & Mahindra) I did a lot of search on the Internet. Got many feedbacks; good as well as bad. The bad ones were mostly related to people’s negative experience in the hands of dealers during delivery & subsequent services. However, as we Scorpio lovers are bold enough, I went ahead and purchased my very own Scorpio in 2011 from M/s. Bhasin Motors, Mathura Road, Delhi. One year has passed with mixed experience. Now my “Remote Centre Locking” system started giving me trouble. On a Sunday I took my Scorpio Bhasin Motors for a paid service and also to fix the Centre Locking (MINDA make) which is under Warranty. At the day end the Workshop Adviser advised me that the Paid service is done but the Centre Locking could not been fixed as the MINDA office is closed on Sundays, you have to come on a working day. Now I was in deep trouble as sometimes the lock just does not open at several try. As a result I could not use my Scorpio for my day-to-purpose. So I decided to visit Bhasin Motors workshop next Saturday.
Just to be sure that MINDA representative would be available on Saturday to fix the lock I tried to ring up the Customer Care of Bhasin Motors on Thursday, but no luck on first few phone calls. The receptionist took my phone number with the promise of a call back but nothing happened. However the next day I was lucky and was put through to the Customer care personnel Ms. Sivali Sharma. She patiently listened to my problem and promised to ring me up after lining up the MINDA representative. I told her that this is becoming the old story as yesterday my call was not returned. She profusely apologized and informed that yesterday the Mahindra & Mahindra representatives came for a meeting and she was occupied the whole day. However she told that had anybody passed onto her my phone number, she would have surly called back in spite of her pre-occupation. At this point she gave a another phone number for contacting her in case of urgency.
I was still not taking her words seriously as I have 20 years of experience in dealing with Customer Care executives of Delhi workshops. To me Customer Care exists as a small signboard on a table, mostly unmanned. In the recent years they have started offering a free car drop service for the customers to a fixed destination at a pre-scheduled hour (may be due to increasing competition in the market).
To my utter surprise I received a call from Ms. Sivali on Friday confirming visit of the MINDA representative and assured me that everything would be alright. So on Saturday morning I took my Scorpio to M/s. Bhasin Motors Workshop and their I received a call from my office informing that my boss wants to discuss with me regarding some urgent matter. So I requested Ms. Sivali to expedite the opening of job card & release me at the earliest. She interacted with the Workshop representative and got my job card opened at a remarkable pace. Thereafter she asked me location of my office, which is Bhikaji Cama Place, quite a distance from the Workshop at Mathura Road. She then went away in the back office and again to my surprise came back within two minutes with an offer to drop me at my office by their service vehicle (another robust Scorpio). This was without me asking for a drop as I knew that their shuttle drop is only up to Ashram Junction which is of little help for me. Obviously I was delighted at this courtsey of M/s. Bhasin Motors.
In the afternoon when I came back to take delivery of my Scorpio I carried my file of purchase papers of the Scorpio, as I had to produce the Warrantee Card of the “Remote Centre Locking” system. While doing that I noticed a hand written entry on the “Retail Invoice” of my Scorpio duly authenticated by a signature and seal of M/s. Bhasin Motors stating “Mahindra & Mahindra Scheme – 2 years extended Warrantee free”. It reminded me that I was offered this add-on during the purchase of my Scorpio and I took it for granted that I have an extended Warrantee. However, curiously I asked the Workshop Service Advisor whether this extended Warrantee is reflected in their online record. After checking their database he answered NO. It was a shock to me as the sales executive who had handled my case had since left M/s. Bhasin Motors. Now whom should I contact? I found out Ms. Sivali and anxiously explained the error in database. She just assured me by telling that everything would be sorted out and asked for two (2) days time as the person handling insurance matter would be available on Monday. I went home with lot of apprehension and I would lie if I say I did not have a feeling of being cheated of a promise in writing. On Monday, just after 2 pm I got a call from Ms. Sivali informing me that 2 years extended Warrantee has been updated for my Scorpio. It was a godsend call, giving me relief and a lot of delight. Every problem could be resolved smoothly due to personal interest taken by Ms. Sivali Sharma, Process Manager of M/s. Bhasin Motors. It was really a wonderful feeling which is rare to come by in today’s world. That is why I took to writing this long message and I want it to be published so that many anxious customers like me can look forward to better experience thru’ Customer Care mechanism. Wish all Scorpio lovers all the best in life. – The satisfied customer A. K. Mallick – 25.09.2012, New Delhi.
I purchased the Scorpio ex in Jan-2012. And every time i send for service the service center in Mangalore asks me to keep vehicle there for minimum 15 day as some electronics parts are not working and it has to come from Mumbai. Now again i sent for service on Monday 10th of Sep and the same problem has repeated. They told me that the icu of starter was not working and its ordered with Mahindra. Now i have to pay emi to bank. If i keep my vehicle in the workshop for a month how can i pay emi ? If you dont have spare parts then what is meaning of prompt and fast immediate service promised?
I have purchased my Automatic Scorpio in 2010 September. I have been in and out to Malad,Goregaon & Mira Road service center with problems that never seems to end. The service center does not have experienced technicians. I repent buying the Scorpio as there are too many problems. Does Mahindra not have a responsible Manager to look into solving issues by consumers? I would never recommend to any one to buy a Mahindra vehicle looking at the way I have been treated.
Am also facing similar kind of false commitments in CAI, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. Being a hard core fan of Mahindra, I never expected such a response from a well known Mahindra dealer. I bet Mahindra will keep loosing their customers in this increasing competitive market.
I’m Delhi Resident & having a Logan 1.4 GLE 2000 model. Till last week it was not troubling me. But only in last week (12.08.12) it’s timing belt broken on highway NH-24 near to Moradabad. And after 6Hrs. waiting I got support from M&M Dealer to tow the vehicle for repair. Now, M/S Vinayak Motors is unable to get it rectified within promised time. It was told 4-5 hours only required to make it OK. Roughly estimate was given to me 10-12K, now they are telling me it would around 35K. How to cope with this kind of attitude of M&M customer care? I request to customer care to improve it’s services, as no one likes this.
I bought XUV 500 W8 on 02 Aug’12. The delivery process has been very smooth because of personal interest taken by Yogesh Mishra. Home installation has been good. However some issues are pendings which are expected to be resolved smoothly.

POOR SERVICE STANDARD OF MAHINDRA SERVICE CENTRES
1. I am an Army Officer & specialize in Automobile Engineering. As I am from the Corps of Electronics & Mechanical Engineers (EME) I have been maintaining all Military Equipment (including automobiles) for the past 24 years.
2. I had purchased my Mahindra XYLO (E-4) from Sterling Motors in Gurgaon. It is pertinent to mention that the vehicle is driven by either me or my wife & no one alse drives it. So I can assure you that the handling of the vehicle is good. Initially I was very happy with my purchase as it gave me a trouble free service even during my first long journey from Delhi to Ladakh & back covering about 3000 km.
3. My trouble started when it becomes defective or is required to be taken to the service centre for periodic servicing. List of few instances which leave me with a sense of despair are given in the succeeding Paragraphs.
4. Wire Loom Burnt. While driving the vehicle suddenly the horn stopped working & so did the headlights. Luckily the vehicle was driveable & was therefore driven home by my wife. She called the helpline & the mechanic arrived at my house in Delhi Cantt to check the vehicle. We were informed by them that the wire loom of the vehicle had got burnt & that the vehicle would have to be taken to the Durga Motors service Centre in Delhi for replacing the loom. We were assured that the repairs would be over in 3-4 days. However even after 5 days the vehicle was not sent back for use. When my wife rang up the service centre she was informed initially that they did not have my vehicle with them. It was after a few more discussion with other personnel that my Xylo was finally traced to be at their service centre only. The repair time had taken more than 5 days now & even after my wife having spoken to the Service Centre personal no intimation regarding the probable date was given. My wife was forced to e0mail the complaints to the Mahindra bosses & then the service centre guys reacted actively. Thankfully the vehicle was delivered back in the next couple of days. I also wonder as to why the lock was changed when the defect was in the wires. Anyway, a close examination of the steering lock revealed to me that it was never changed.
5. Clutch Defective. In yet another instance the clutch suddenly stopped functioning when my wife was driving. Luckily a Delhi Police cop was helpful & the vehicle was moved on to one side with the help of passersby. Your help line mechanic who reported on the spot diagnosed that the clutch cylinder was faulty & that it needed replacement. He required the vehicle to be towed to your service centre of Koncept Automobiles Pvt Ltd in Okhla (distance of 20 km) when the sterling service centre (Gurgaon) was only 10 km away. The clause of vehcle having broken down in boundary limits of Delhi were cited as the reason & the vehicle was towed to Okhla. My wife was reminded of the previous instance with a service centre & hence raised the level with senior personnel of your company. Thanks to her effort, the vehicle was delivered in a short time.
6. Accident Repair. The vehicle had net with a minor accident wherein the front portion, including headlights, of the Xylo were replaced by Koncept Automobiles Pvt Ltd, Okhla vide their RO Bill No RBR12F000164 dated 10 Oct 2011. However due to now availability of some motors for the new headlights the raising/lowering of the main beams was not possible. We were assured that we shall be phoned as & when the motors arrived in their stock. It’s been over 9 months & we are still waiting for their phone call.
7. Booking for Time Slot for Paid Service. After a few months, the Xylo was due for paid service. I was informed by the receptionist at Sterling Motors , Gurgaon that prior booking for the same had to be done & a time be taken for taking the vehicle for service. I was given the time of 0900 hrs on a particular date & I adhered to that. The vehicle was accepted for paid service & I was told to collect the vehicle in the evening at 1700 hrs. I reached the service centre at 1600 hrs & enquired about the progress on the work. To my utter shock it was revealed that work had not even commenced on my vehicle. On further enquiry I was informed that it was because of a back log of vehicles from the previous day which had to be taken out first. When I raised my concern with the higher echelon personnel my complete work was done in two hours flat. I have two queries from the above incident:-
a. When booking is done for a time slot why the vehicle is not attended to immediately?
b. When the paid service can be done in 2 hours flat why should the customer be given a long time to collect the vehicle?
8. Non Availability of Parts. As my headlight were still not functioning as per their design (refer my trouble stated above in Accident Repairs) I requested the service centre for repairing the same. After a lot of deliberation he informed me that some parts are not available & that he would inform me as & when they are received in their stock. Its been a few months & no phone call has come from them till date.
9. Confusion on Tyre Rotation. I had taken my Xylo for a scheduled service at the Sterling Motors, Gurgaon. Due to my awareness with automobile management in the Army I happened to enquire if the Tyre Rotation as prescribed in the User Manual had been carried out. As their reply was negative I coaxed them to do the rotation. To my surprise the order of rotation was not as per the one prescribed in the manual. The mechanic on his own had decided to do the rotation as per some chart on the wall. I wonder why the Mahindra has adopted this dual technique. It goes without saying that it would be
detrimental to the life of the tyre if once only the tyres are rotated in the wrong way.
10. Lack of knowledge on Tyre Rotation. During one paid service I was surprised when after wheel balancing the mechanic put the front wheels back in their original place but rotated the rear wheels with the spare wheel. On my enquiry he informed me that after balancing the wheels having the least amount of balancing lead weights were put in the front & the balance in the rear. This according to him was the tyre rotation. I wonder why Mahindra not conducts technical classes for these Mechanics.
11. Complacency. During my last Paid service at Sterling Motors, Gurgaon I was attended my one Mr Deepak as the Service Advisor. During the process of repair of the vehicle I noticed that the mechanics were using the horizontal radiator as a table top for keeping their heavy tools which had resulted in many of the delicate radiator fins getting clogged. When I reported the same to the ibid Service advisor he told me that nothing happens if the fins are clogged. Will the Mahindra experts tell his that as a result of clogging of fins, the efficiency of the radiator is lowered?
12. Negligence. During my last Paid Service at 40,000 kms (where change of coolant was to be carried out) I had moved only one KM after collecting my vehicle towards my home. I noticed that the vehicle had overheated with the needle showing maximum deflection & the warning bulb glowing. After pulling over my vehicle to a side I phoned the Service Advisor (Mr Deepak of Sterling Motors) who gave me the advice of waiting for the engine to cool & after adding ½ litre of water, move on. I wondered as to how ½ litre of water would make a difference in the cooling? However on my insistence he sent the help line mechanic who came in filled my radiator with over ‘3 litres’ of water. From where had this capacity been generated? Later on reaching home I noticed 3 litres of coolant in my boot which the service centre had probably forgotten to fill in my radiator. Will someone tell Mr Deepak the damage that his negligence would have caused.
13. Conclusion. My motive behind the above mentioned complaints is not to ask for any redressal. I am stuck with Mahindra Xylo & I am sure there are many like me who are stuck with other models from the Mahindra family. It is high time that Mahindra moves it thinking out from the Tractor to SUVs. It’s not the uneducated farmer but well off people that they are dealing with now.
Thar’s exhaust smell in cabin was very high when driving down ghats in 2nd or 3rd gear in high engine rpm, without touching gas pedal.. M&M need to attend this case immediately. This seems to be posing a real health hazard for kids and ladies.
My scorpio’s remote locking has been muted what to do to unmute it…
last year i purchased scorpio vlx(2011) from itl motors calicut kerala, after six months the remote controller stopped working properly.. i informed them 3 times .. i am not happy with the service at all
Recently I bought a Mahindra Varito D-4 Model ( Regi. No. DL12C-2248 through Mohidra Authorised Dealer M/s Koncept Mahindra, Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi. I regret my decision now to go Koncept Mahindra. I think Mahindra Must think it seriously to continue with them. I was delivered a car at my door on 29th March. The boot cover had a dent, When pointed out , we assured that it will be rectified during first FREE SERVICE. The car has problem with boot lock. Gear lock was fitted in wrong place, music system was not proper functioning ( which rectified a week ago. Other two problems still there and every time we sent it for rectification, assured a false commitment. Can I ask Mahindra Automobile, if at all this will be rectified or I have to crush my decision to go for Mahindra? Its really pathetic CUSTOMER CARE.

Thanking you.
I bought a xuv500 on29th April2012. After 566km the vehicle has got some engine problem. Due to me going out of station, am unable to fix it.
Worst service centre in jamshedpur (jharkhand). Really frustrated of having 3 scorpios and not getting service properly. The company charged me Rs 12000/- for extended warranty per vehicle and inspite of that nothing is being covered under warranty. I am ready to give my scorpio in the value of scrap to company.
We purchased our Xylo E8 from G3 motors Nerul. We opted for MaxiCare package as sales rep.told that this coating is very effective against rats cutting into wires. We believed them. During 3rd service at NBC service center they found that wires and alarm for central locking are damaged by rats. They repaired at cost. When we raised this issue with G3 customer care they flatly refused for any such talks. Unfortunately we do not have any recording for such talks. Concerned sales person is on leave and G3 customer care claims that sales person has made no such statement.
We do no understand how to deal with this.Awaiting your responce
I THINK MAHINDRA SHOULD OPEN NEW AGENCY IN ALLAHABAD AS UNITED DEALER OF MAHINDRA IS NOT ABLE TO FULLFILL THE DEMAND OF CUSTOMER

I bought Mahindra scorpio from Global Galleri, panvel., in Jan 2012. There is clutch problem in my vehicle, when I gave for servicing the dealer told me to pay 15,000/- for it. But it is under to warranty period.
Recently I purchased maximo mini van from Mysore. I am happy with the vehicle performance but the customers are getting harassed at the time of vehicle registration. Show room will collect all charges of registration and service charges for the registration etc. afterwards they turn their deaf ear towards us. The brokers at mysore RTO assigned by mahindra showroom Mr. Kumar and Raghu are treating customers very badly. Many customers have had bad experiences. However the show room people are showing ignorance. Due to this problem Mahindra company is getting bad name whereas the vehicle is fantastic. Imagine, even after 15 days taking the delivery of vehicle, i have not got the registeration number.
I want to buy a Scorpio EX or Xylo. Which is the best if i purchase the car from Pune. I am from Bengal.
I bought Mahindra Bolero in the month of June 2011 & had so pathetic experiences with the Vehicle. After 3 months buying of Vehicle i came to know that Steering Shaft is faulty & it was replaced free of cost however till date the adjustment of steering is not upto the mark. had visited Goel Motors Mohali several times for the same but engineers are so pathetic that they dont even know what resolution is pathetic. Suspension of Vehicle is pathetic.. Will be escalating the same to consumer court & higher authorties
