My tickets for flight from San Francisco, USA to Pune on 19th August 2021 were cancelled due to certain circumstances. After nearly six months since cancellation, I have not been paid refund amount despite numerous emails to various authorities in Air India. In fact they told me on 30-12-2021 that refund has been processed. But amount is yet to be received. It is really frustating experience. I have decided not to travel by Air India henceforth.
This is really pathetic that when communications has to be smooth in case of Covid pandemic. Our Air India department is operating with a pathetic voice mail system.I want to reschedule my flight.
Hence I used Air India customer care number for rescheduling my flight at least 20 times in last 5 days. The experience is as under;
Voice mail on connecting conveys that your are in queue and your number is 24 and, finally after waiting for 20-25 minutes, Even after connecting their representative conveyed that she will not be able to do the rescheduling the flight and transferred the lines to ticketing department. in every call , after waiting and listening the voice call repetitive message for around 60 minutes call got disconnected and it happened every time.
I fail to understand how air india is having such a bad communications system which I think not only all domestic customers are facing but might be faced by all international customer thereby denting the image and reputation of Air India. I am still struggling to get my flight reschedule . More over their representative also committed to call back , if call get disconnected but no call back.
I am writing this with a request to help me in getting my flight reschedule and also to improve Air India communication system as to avoid continuous damage to Air India reputation nationally and internationally.
I am trying to reschedule my international reservation, not able to do online. In last 3 days, have called more than 20 times to their customer support (should change to cutomer harrasment service), each time they transfer to ticketing department by saying they only have the authority to do and then after remaining on HOLD for 30, 45, 80 minutes, call get disconnected every single time. I dont know what to say more, I tried all possible ways, but everything went into vain. Seriously, this is THE WORST service so far I faced or heard.
Yes what Mr Ravindra has written is absolute truth….. I am also facing the same problem….. I want to prepone my international ticket but in vain. Now i will have to go to their office at nariman point all the way….. The services are ridiculous.
This is really pathetic that when communications has to be smooth in case of Covid pandemic. Our Air India department is operating with a pathetic voice mail system.I want to reschedule my flight which was cancelled by Air India without refunding payment to customer with an option that the customer can reuse the ticket.
Hence I used Air India customer care number for rescheduling my flight at least 6 times. The experience is as under;
Voice mail on connecting conveys that your are in queue and your number is 6 and waiting time 10 minutes, after spent and listening voice mail for 6 minutes , it says your queue number is 12 and waiting time is 30 minutes and so on. Can some body explain the logic of this and it happened every time whenever I connected. finally after waiting for 20-25 minutes, Three times the same representative named pragati comes on line. This gives an impression that Air india customer care is operating with one staff and thereby increasing customer waiting time which is a criminal waste of time. Even after connecting their representative conveyed that she will not be able to do the rescheduling the flight and transferred the lines to ticketing department. in every call , after waiting and listening the voice call repetitive message for around 60 minutes call got disconnected and it happened every time.

Dear sir,
I had travelled on 26/02/2016 from mumbai to delhi and returned on 03/03/2016 from delhi to mumbai. Now, for something, I need a proof that I travelled on that flight. Unfortunately I lost my boarding passes. Can you suggest me some other proof?
Thanks.
I travelled from Delhi to Mumbai on Oct. 26, 2015. This was a connecting flight (AI-435) from Delhi to Bhopal and then from Bhopal to Mumbai (AI-634). I had checked in a black strolley as my check-in luggage. On reaching Mumbai airport, I came to know through a representative of the Mumbai Air India Baggage Authority that my luggage was not despatched itself from Delhi.A Property Irregularity Report was also prepared (Ticket No. 0989392607297). Till now, I have received no communication whatsoever regarding my baggage. Kindly tell me about the status and by when can I receive my bag back. Kindly communicate the details to me on my mail or my mobile 9004446431.
Hi,
PNR: JQ3LF FLIGHT NO. 626, PIR NO. 137
My wife and son came from Lucknow on 24th May 2014, by flight no. AI 626, after the arrival at Mumbai from Lucknow, we were told at the luggage collection belt, by two AIR INDIA staff that our baggage are still lying at Lucknow due to some technical problem.
At the Mumbai airport property irregularity report (PIR) form was filled by the staff and one copy was given to us.
And also told that the luggage will come to Mumbai from Lucknow at around 8:00 pm, and they (air India) will arrange to deliver the baggage at our residence in Kamothe, Navi Mumbai.
When we called at 18:00, they told us that they will call us and tell us about the delivery time and schedule, now no body is responding at the no. Given at 022- 26168264/26156693.
Your call centre is not able to help us, boz as per them the complaint no. Is not updated in to the system.
One mail I sent to [email protected], on above mentioned matter, now the response came at 13:24 today “Please provide the TAG NO.”
The response of AIR INDIA is very unprofessional, now they are asking the details of TAG no. from me, as they have all the details of PNR and PIR 137 with AIR INDIA.
Its more than 24 hours we are still waiting for your baggage, and not a single call has been given by AIR INDIA on the tractability of our luggage.
Once we called up in the morning 8:30 am, we were given some courier agency no. to do the follow up.
As a passenger of AIR INDIA we have full right to know the answers of following question:
1. What was the technical issue which occurred in Lucknow, boz of that the luggage was not loaded.
2. Why it was not informed at Lucknow it self.
3. Why the commitment was given that it will be delivered mid night or early morning.
4. No body responded from 6:30 PM to 8:00 in the morning.
5. Call center was not updated with the complaint, as they have no clue of this indecent.
What about the mental agony and problem we are facing because of non-availability of our luggage.
I am travelling AI from GOI to AUH VIA BOM Booking reference no (PNR): JS1XK
Web Reference: AIBE12097436
I would like to know
1) Whether my baggage will be checked thru to AUH from GOI?
2) Immigration at GOI or BOM?
3) Whether I’ll be able to go out of the airport to meet my relative at the arrival gate?
THE CALL CENTER NUMBER IS USELESS. IT JUST SAYS YOU…YOUR CALL IS IMPORTANT TO US AND NO ONE PICKS IT UP FOR GOOD 10-15 MINUTES.
NEVER CAME ACROSS ANY OTHER CUSTOMER CARE LIKE THIS.
I had a VERY RUDE experience this morning (18 December 2012) from the flight attendant of Air India. This is the 1st time in my 20 years of flying to have encountered such rude attitude of an airline staff. I was humiliated and shouted at in public. I will ensure that the public and Social Media gets to know about this rude encounter. I boarded my flight ( AI 682) from Cochin to Mumbai. I was seated with my family from Row 18A/18B & 18C. When I requested to change my food from veg to non-veg, this flight attendant shouted at me without any reason. She just shouted saying “NONE ..no more” and went off. I was drastically humiliated and refused to take my food.
Her colleague kept apologizing on her behalf. I also spoke to the flight attendant Lead ( Ms Poorni) and explained to her the situation. She too apologized for her team member’s behavior. I was refused to be provided the flight attendant’s name and staff number (which I find ridiculous). Anyway, I came to understand that the flight attendant’s name was Ms S. Singh. This lady was so adamant and arrogant. She came up to me and again rudely spoke to me that if I felt that she was rude, she cannot do anything. Moreover, she claimed that she was not the one who served me, so she was telling me that she was NOT at fault. She kept saying that it was my problem if I felt she was rude. The other passenger who sat at 17B was taken aback with her gesture. Something is drastically wrong with this arrogant woman. She obviously does not know what customer experience was and should NOT be serving customer. I feel sorry for her for her attitude but moreover sorry for Air India as they will continue to lose more customers with such inexperienced flight attendants. I am truly upset with this encounter and will ensure that I am NEVER taking Air India again. I will ensure that the world know the sort of service that we customers encounter with Air India.
I have purchased a ticket to travel from AUH – TRV on 27th May. But due to strike the flight was canelled. I am waiting for my reimbursement money since 27th may. But nothing happened so far. Abudhabi Admin office is giving the reason “they have already credited the amount from Mumbai office to the Travels Account through ICICI bank”. But until now the Travels account didnt receive my money. I am suffering like hell for the past two months to get my money back. (AALDQW- ticket conf.#). If possible, please give me a solution for getting my money.
I am supposed to fly tomorrow from Mumbai to New York via Delhi AI 101 but due to ongoing strike by the pilots many flights are being cancelled. Do you have any other alternative arrangements for the passengers. Please let me know the information at the earliest.
I would like to know the procedure to buy ‘flying returns’ miles. I have been informed by the call centre that to buy the miles I would need to visit air india office. Can it be done online some how? If not then can Air india office at domestic airport provide this service. Pls advise.

I booked Air India flight (AI-9805) ticket from Delhi to Kullu through yatra.com. The flight scheduled date was 04/11/2011. Unfortunately the flight got cancelled. When I called Air India helpline number they told me that as the flight cancelled from their end I am liable to get all ticket amount refund and there is nothing I need to do. Hence I waited few days and thought my refund amount will be credited to my credit card account. Till now, the amount has not yet got credited and when i called again to yatra.com as well as Air India office now they are suggesting me to get a stamp of cancel on my Air India ticket printout and submit to yatra.com. As I am a resident of Mumbai I booked air ticket from mumbai. Now Please let me know, if the procedure this time they are suggesting me is enough to get my refund amount.
if you booked it through Yatra then please follow their instructions.
