I was in NY visiting. I wanted to buy a tablet so I did some research on the prices of the tablets. I know that the AS500 Iconia tablet cost between 350 to 450 USD. I went to this store in NY the name is HD Computers and Cameras. they initially said that the price is $400 so I said its ok, then when they swiped my card they keyed in $639.00 US
I questioned them why they changed the price, they said that its because of Taxes and a 3 year warranty which acer is giving to the customer. I was not wearing my glasses and they wanted to me to sign ths piece of paper whihch they said will make the warranty valid. upon checking i found the product had a no exchange policy which is a clear deception and fraud on the part of HD computers. The image of your company is being affected by such poor service. I can give you documentation on the purchase I made. I called them up to confront them and as expected they denied it. As part of the modus operandi they got an old unit of tablet and that is the one they are giving me because they said that it has a free pouch.I said no. I hope you can do something about this to stop these fake entrepreneurs from ruining your product.
My acer Aspire one D255-2256 has been the worst purchase of my life, even with the walmart 2 years plan (another 59$), Had to send the first one back and the second one is not much better, they “service ” on the phone wont give me a physical address or fax , it is junk, expensive junk. Avoid this company and walmart for computers, Learned the hard way!! I have never even yet opened the first e mail on it in 14 months and so far , can get nothing but aggravation with this product.
I just bought an Acer Aspire V5. The spacebar puts a space between words about half of the time, and that’s only if I whack it hard in the very middle of the bar. This is unacceptable. I tried the Acer customer service chat line, and it was a waste of my time. All I got were pre-programmed sentences from someone with a low command of English and no authority to deal with the problem. Can someone from Acer please tell me what to do about this problem with a brand new computer? And please don’t tell me that I have to pay the shipping costs.

Be very wary of Acer’s customer support. They are unhelpful and are just to get more money from your pocket. The third party tech they use, Answer By, is a sham organization that charges $100 with a verbal guarantee to fix your computer. They then walk you through nothing more than basic troubleshooting methods that are already easily accessed on your computer. They then say they can’t fix the problem without you making a purchase of a recovery disk or upgrades. They’re answer to asking for satisfaction or a refund is NO! I was told by an Acer rep that this is a common complaint but Acer will do nothing to fix their problem. Acer supports a company that refuses to support Acer customers in good faith. It seems that this is fully acceptable to Acer. Stay away from Acer.
